Most of the first day
was spent just getting to know the resort area.
We stayed at the
Blue Bay Los Angeles Locos all inclusive resort on Tenacatita Bay in
Jalisco.
As you can see, the day
was cloudy, but it was still very warm and muggy.
The bay offers
protection from the open waters of the Pacific Ocean for the many yachts
moored there.
The Blue Bay was built
in 1985 and is visited mostly by Mexicans from the neighboring towns and
cities of Jalisco State - including Guadalajara - Mexico's second largest
city.
It has over 200 rooms
built in a semicircle around the pool/entertainment area. The air
conditioned rooms are quite spacious and every one of them has a view of
the ocean. Our room was on the 4th floor ( the top) and had a
fantastic view of the bay.
We spent most of the day
exploring the area with our newlywed friends Stephanie and Frank from Red
Deer, and Abi and Scott from Calgary. We just relaxed by the pool, and of
course drank lots of beer and tequila.
In the evening, we
wandered down the beach to a local restaurant for some "Coco Loco's".
The bartender really got into it - chopping up the coconut picked fresh
from a nearby tree.
